Verse 1 (Psalm 14:1)

The fool has said within his heart,

“There is no God” — a world apart.

Their deeds are dark, their ways corrupt,

Not one does good, not one stands up.

Verse 2 (Psalm 14:2–3)

From heaven the Lord looks down to see,

Is there one who seeks after Me?

All have turned, gone their own way —

No one does right, not even today.

But God is with the righteous ones,

A refuge when the night has come.
